The door mount (D04) is specifically for non-glass panels and features a protruding 20mm stem, which can be recessed into the panel surface. The unique design of this door mount means the main load forces are carried by the stem instead of the mounting screws, which simply secure the door mount in place without taking on any of the panel weight.
This hinge features our largest frame mount, the F03. It has the widest distance between mounting holes, which typically means the load bearing capacity is greater. However, all of our frame mounts can hold up to 100kg panels. The decision about what frame mount to use is largely aesthetic and we can advise on your specific application if required.
